One variable aspect of design and architecture is its relationship with the economy. I experienced three significant shifts that changed my design direction. Mergers and acquisitions also played a role in this transformation. At times, I wished I had listened to my mom and pursued a career as a plastic surgeon. Nevertheless, my journey has been rewarding, filled with valuable experiences and intriguing, diverse projects that have taken me to various states, each with its unique focus. Many designers may have side interests to help fill gaps in their work and in project availability. My equine interests, which ironically became intertwined with my career journey, presented unique challenges and rewards. From a young age, my mom introduced me to the wonderful world of her dolls, which also translated to a robust business. My dad shared his business insights with me, emphasizing that the best customer is a happy one. After their passing, I embarked on a new path that took my passion for dolls to an international level. This unexpected mix allowed me to combine my interests in design, dressage, and dolls, giving them a unique twist.
